How to go to Minca
From Santa Marta to Minca, it takes approximately 40 minutes by public transport. There is a van that leaves from the center of the city market, located diagonal to the Rapimercar supermarket on calle 12 and carrera 9. The van will depart at various different times throughout the day between the hours of 7am and 5:30pm. It is also a variable option to drive your own vehicle. Upon arrival to the town, there will be information points to guide you and provide you with all the help you may need, to guide you to the most recognized places in Minca.

Viewpoint of the Pinos

Located in the mountains where you can enjoy a wonderful viewpoint and appreciate a great view of the city of Santa Marta or feel the cool wind of the tropical humid jungle that characterizes it. From Minca to the viewpoint it takes about 1 hour.
Cerro Kennedy and Cuchilla San Lorenzo

It is a mountain located in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta at 3,100 meters above sea level, with an approximate temperature of 8 °C to 18 °C, it is famous for the amazing view of the snow-capped mountains. The Ciénaga Grande of Santa Marta and the exuberant Caribbean Sea, in this place you can see the extensive pine forests covered with the thick and cold fog.
El oído del mundo (The Ear of the World)

This beautiful place has a small waterfall and a very pleasant natural pool to spend the day. It is located just 20 minutes from the town of Minca and is known for being a quiet ancestral site used by indigenous communities. Its name goes back to a point in the river with a waterfall that over time formed an ear figure in the rock. Admission is free, it does not have a restaurant service or sales of any kind of products, so if you want to visit it you must bring your own supplies.
Marinka waters

It is a beautiful and wonderful place that has two crystalline waterfalls and exuberant humid vegetation. This waterfall is located close to the town of Minca, just 15 minutes by truck, 90 minutes if you want to walk and enjoy the scenery or you can take a motorcycle. The location has restrooms, a restaurant, and a space to appreciate the view or rest.
Pozo Azul

Is one of the most popular places in Minca with its cold and crystal clear water that is naturally formed by the waters coming from the Sierra Nevada Mountains. This is a beautiful and quiet place for visitors and is best enjoyed by walking to the site. Experiencing nature in this magnificent way allows you to see the flora and fauna of the Sierra over a 3 kilometer path for approximately 35 minutes. If that isn’t your preferred mode of transportation, there are also motos and 4x4 trucks available for hire.
Finca La Victoria

Is a coffee farm and live museum created as "La VICTORIA" in 1892. It is located at (1,000 masl) and is a surprising place where you can take a wonderful tour of the plantations to learn about the benefits of this special coffee which has a different composition of acids. You also get to tour the factory where they package the high quality coffee and showcase why they are one of the first eco-sustainable companies in the Sierra Nevada Park.
